A Site on SkyDeck is the virtual representation of a physical object or an area that is being surveyed. Sites allow you to upload and process various data models collected from the survey done over time. The collected data is organized into snapshots, each representing an individual survey allowing you to track changes to your site across different survey. You can upload, process, and visualize 2D, 3D, and video datasets within Sites, providing a comprehensive view of your survey data.

Understanding the Layout of Sites page
The Sites tab, on the left pane, displays existing sites, if any; and on the right pane displays the location of these sites on the map.
Sites Page
The following options are available at the top of the Sites tab:

Filter by Site type option | Allows you to filter the sites by type. |
Switch Layout option | Allows you to view the sites in a card or list layout.

Create New Site | Allows you to create a site or a site group. |
Items per page | Allows you to select the number of sites to be displayed on a page. Use the arrows next to the page number to navigate between pages. |
Hover over a site and click on the Show on map option to refocus the map to the site location.
Creating a Site
Navigate to the Sites page and click on the CREATE NEW SITE option in the left pane. OR On the top right of the page, click Create and select the Create New Site option.
Input the following information:

Site Name* | Enter a name for the site.

Site Group | Select the site group(s) to which you want to link this site by selecting them from the dropdown. You can delete a selected or displayed site group by clicking the X next to the site group name and/or add other site groups by selecting them from the dropdown.

Site Type* | Select the type of site you are creating. |
Tags | Enter any custom tag for better identification and search. |
Site Description | Enter any details that helps describe the Site you are creating. |

Click on Save. The new site is created and displayed on the Sites page.
Use the Bulk Site creation feature to create 50 sites at once with a CSV upload.
Demarcate Site Boundary
In this section outline how to mark the site boundary manually. You can define the Site boundary using a Polygon, Point or Line.
Point geometry type can be useful if you have a circular site with a known center location. This option works best for telecom and transmission towers.
Line geometry type is useful when if you have a corridor type site. This option works best for pipelines, roads, transmission lines and railways.
In the map area, click on the option that you want to use for demarcating the Site Boundary.
Polygon:
Left click the starting point of the area you want to demarcate on the map.
Move the cursor to the next vertex of your area and left-click to define one edge of the polygon. This is displayed as a blue line on the map.
Repeat above step, as needed, to draw all sides of the polygon.
Either close the polygon, or double-click to mark the last point. The demarcated area is highlighted in red.
Point:
Left click the center of the area you want to demarcate.
A pop-up is shown, input the radius of the area in meters

Line:
Left click the starting point of the area you want to demarcate on the map.
Move the cursor to the next vertex of your line and left-click. This is displayed as a blue line on the map. Continue to draw the line as needed
Double-click to mark the end of the line. A pop-up is shown, input the corridor width of the area in demarcated area is highlighted in red.
To reset the boundary, click Reset the site boundary.

Uploading the Site Boundary
SkyDeck allows you to define the Site boundaries by uploading the geographic details in a vector file.
Search and select the site location using the search bar on the map.
Click Upload site boundary button on the bottom left of the map area. The Upload Site Boundary upload box is displayed.
Drag and drop the files OR Click Browse Files to select the files from your computer.
The supported file formats are GEOJSON and KML.
The map area is updated automatically with the site boundary as defined in the attached file.
Modifying a Site
Follow the given steps to edit any information for an existing site.
In the Sites module, under the Sites tab, click the three dot menu against the site you want to modify and then click Edit. OR If you have opened the site, in the top bar next to the site name, click More Details, and then click Edit. The Edit Site page is displayed.
Update the required details and click Save
Deleting a Site
You cannot delete a site if there are any active or scheduled missions on that site. You may either wait for the milestone(s) to be completed or remove these mission(s) to delete this site.
In the Sites module, under the Sites tab, click the three dot icon against the site you want to delete and then click Delete. OR If you have opened the site, in the top bar next to the site name, click More Details, and then click DELETE.
In the pop-up that is displayed, in the input box, type DELETE SITE and click Delete Site
Managing User Access
By default, only the Admin has access to all sites created on Skydeck. A Site Manager or a Project Manager can create a site and give access to other users who need to access this site.
The level of access available to each user is decided by the role assigned to that user.

Navigate to the Site that you want to modify. In the top bar next to the site name, click More Details.
In the pop-up that is displayed, under Manage Access, click the add option.

The Manage Access dialog box opens on the screen displaying the users who have access to the site.

To remove access, click Remove next to the user’s name.
To give users access to this site, in the search box under Invite users to Site, enter the name or email address of the user and select the user from the displayed list. Repeat this process to add multiple users.
When you enter the name or email in the search box, users with any role, except pilot, will be displayed in the search results. The search result does not display users with admin role as they have access to all the modules by default.
Click Invite Users. The selected user(s) are given access to the site, and the access update notification(s) are displayed briefly on the top right. The site is now displayed in the Sites module of these user(s)
