Mission Displayed on the Timeline

The Mission Details page is displayed that shows the different stages of the mission on a timeline. The current stage of the mission highlighted with a green border. The mission will either be in:

  • Draft stage: A mission will be in the Draft stage if resources are not assigned during mission creation or if the mission creation process is abandoned in between. You can add flight and assign resources to take the mission to the next stage.

Mission in Draft Stage

  • Approved stage: A mission enters the approved stage once you have added the flight, have assigned the required resources and scheduled the mission.

Once the mission is scheduled, the assigned Pilot can view the details of this mission in their schedule on the SkyDeck Pilot Application.

Mission in Approved Stage

  1. At the mission start time, the assigned Pilot can start the execution of the approved mission on the SkyDeck Pilot Application. This action updates status to Mission In-Progress.

If the pilot does not start the mission within the allotted time, then the mission is automatically marked as failed.

Mission in In-Progress Stage

  1. Once all the flights in the mission are completed and all the necessary data from the field is captured, the pilot can trigger the mission stage update to Flights Completed.

If the pilot starts the mission on time but is unable to complete it before the end time, then the mission is automatically marked as failed.

Mission in Flights Completed Stage

  1. Once the captured data for every successful flight is uploaded to SkyDeck, the mission stage changes to Raw Images Uploaded. At this stage of the mission the following operations are available:

    • Download Raw Images: You can download all the raw data that is captured and uploaded during the mission as a zip file.

    • View Uploaded Data: You can view the uploaded data in the dataset section of the surveyed site.

    • Mark Mission As Failed: You can mark the mission as failed if the data captured or uploaded does not meet the required standards.

    • Download Mission Logs: You can download the captured drone logs for all the flights completed for the mission.
