The flight path depends on the selected flight type:
Flight Type | Flight Path |
---|---|
2D | Grid |
Spiral | |
Corridor | |
3D | Telecom Flight |
Video | Free Flight |
Grid: A grid flight path creates a pre-decided route for the drone to fly over. The distance between the grid lines is determined by the percentage of overlap and sidelap defined during flight creation. This directly impacts the volume of raw images collected in flight and helps produce 2D and 3D data models with reduced inaccuracies and enhanced quality.

Spiral: A spiral flight path creates a pre-decided spiral route for the drone to fly over. The distance between the lines of the spiral route is determined by the number of laps that the drone is configured to take clockwise and counter-clockwise.

Corridor: The corridor flight path creates an area around the site that guides the drone during the mission. Corridors can be created only for site boundaries that are in line format.
To create a corridor, click the Mark flight area icon and draw a line to mark the site area.
To create a buffer space along the corridor, click the Corridor width icon.
Use the slider to Select corridor width and click Save.
The corridor width must be between 50 m and 1000 m.

Telecom Flight: This flight path is available when you select the flight type as 3D. The drone does not follow a predetermined flight path.
Free Flight: This flight path is available when you select the flight type as video. As the name suggests the drone does not follow a predetermined flight path.
