Skydeck enables you to capture and visualize videos of your site. These videos offer a dynamic and real-time perspective of your site activities, providing valuable insights and numerous applications for surveillance, monitoring, and more.
In this section, you will look at:
Uploading Video Data
Select the snapshot where you want to upload the video(s), and click Datasets. The DATASET page is displayed. OR On the DATASET page, select the date of the snapshot from the date dropdown.
Select the Videos tab.
If the Videos tab is not displayed, you can add it by clicking the add icon, under the date dropdown.
Drag and drop videos here or click Browse Videos to add the video files to the snapshot.
The accepted file formats include MP4 for videos and JSON for telemetry data.
Upload Video
You can also upload video telemetry information (if available) with the video, providing a synchronized view of flight telemetry on the map. Ensure the telemetry file has the same filename as the video.

Once the video upload is complete, it will take a few minutes before the Video is ready for visualization.
Visualizing Video Data
All the video data captured for a site and uploaded to the snapshot is displayed on the site’s video directory page in a card layout. Any live streams done using Skydeck are also automatically uploaded here as a Video.

Select the snapshot where the video(s) have been uploaded. The video starts playing in the left pane and the map is displayed on the right pane.

If the video has a corresponding telemetry file uploaded, the map area will display the location of the UAV as it moves around the area as per the video timestamp.
To see other videos uploaded to the snapshot, click Other Videos, above the map area.
To view all the annotations (if any) on the video, click the bookmarks icon.

Mid-Flight Video with Telemetry Map
The solid red line depicts the path that the UAV has covered and the dotted red lines show the path to be covered by the UAV.
The blue arrow on the map shows the direction in which the UAV is flying.
The yellow highlighted area shows the area that the camera is capturing.
The top left corner of the map area shows if the drone is:
Alt Hold: Drone holds altitude and self-levels the roll and pitch
NAV: Drone executes the pre-defined mission
Guided: Drone follows instructions from the Ground Control Station
Loiter: Drone holds altitude and position
RTL: Drone returns to the take-off position
The refocus icon can be enabled to recenter on the area where the UAV is flying.
The bottom left of the map area shows the altitude, the latitude, the longitude and the direction in which the UAV is headed. For example, a reading of -14.5° N means that the UAV is flying 14.5° to the left of the North.
Annotating Video Data
On the timestamp, where you need to add an annotation, click the add bookmark icon.
When the seek bar reaches the timestamp, where you need to add an annotation, click the add bookmark icon.

The Create Bookmark pop-up is displayed.

3. Enter or select the following details:
Field | Description |

Title* | Enter a title for the bookmark |
Description | Enter a meaningful description for the bookmark |
Start Position* | The start position of the video is automatically captured by default when you click on the add bookmark icon, using its current timestamp.

End Position* | Enter the end timestamp for the bookmark. You can also use the forward button to populate the last timestamp of the video. |
Bookmark type* | Select the type of the bookmark from the dropdown. |
This is a defect | Select this checkbox if you want to mark a defect at this timestamp in the video. |
Annotate on Image Icon | Click the marker icon to draw a marker around the area or object you want to highlight in the video.

Clear Annotation Icon | Click the erase icon to erase the drawn marker. |
Save screenshot | This option is enabled by default and saves the frame of the video as an image.

Click Create.
Created bookmarks can be identified by the annotation icons on the seek bar of the video player. You can click on these icons to play the video from the annotated frame.

Generating the Video Bookmark Report
You can generate a report on the video bookmarks for a quick analysis/xxx.
On the video directory page, click Generate Report.

The Generate Bookmark Report pop-up is displayed.
Select Options for Report Generation
Select the video for which the report is to be generated.
Only the videos with annotations are enabled for selection.
To customize the report content, select from the following options:
Order Annotations by severity: Select this checkbox to display the annotations by severity in the report.
Filter Annotations by Severity: Select the severity from the dropdown to filter annotations accordingly in the report. For example, if you select Severity 2, only the bookmarks marked with a severity level of 2 will be displayed in the report. You can select multiple options here.
Filter Annotations by Type: Select the type of annotation from the dropdown to filter annotations accordingly in the report. For example, if you select Security, only the bookmarks labelled as security will be displayed in the report. You can select multiple options here.
Click Download PDF Report. The downloaded report displays information based on the selected filter.
