The geo-referenced image viewer feature in SkyDeck offers a unique way to explore raw survey images. SkyDeck overlays these images onto a 2D map or orthophoto, providing enhanced spatial context during image analysis. Additionally, SkyDeck includes annotation tools that enable users to highlight observations directly within the raw images, facilitating detailed analysis and collaboration.
In this article, we will explore how to access and use the geo-referenced image viewer in SkyDeck.

This feature is only available if Raw image data from the survey is uploaded to the Snapshot.

1. Navigate to the Snapshot and select the 2D mode option on from top right.

2. Click on the 2D Image viewer option next to the Insights button.
   

   

3. The Geo-referenced image viewer mode is displayed.
   

   

Key components of the geo-referenced image viewer mode in SkyDeck:

• Map Area: The left pane displays a base map with orthophotos overlaid. Raw images are represented as points on the map, indicating their geographic location.

• Image Viewer: The right pane displays the selected image corresponding to the point clicked on the map.

• Navigation Controls: Intuitive controls allow easy exploration of images. Navigate up, down, left, or right to move between images.

• Annotation Tools: Create annotations directly on the viewed image, enabling detailed observations and notes to be captured and shared.

Click on the camera button on the map pane to exit the image viewer mode.

Annotations on raw images

1. Click on the Annotations option on the top right of the image viewer. The displayed menu has the following options

   1. Create Annotation: Use this to create an annotation on the opened image.

   2. View All Annotations: Use this option to view the list of raw images that have annotations on them.

2. Click on the Create Annotation option to create a new annotation. The create annotation screen is displayed with the Image on left side and the annotation details on right.
   

   

3. Use the Draw option to demarcate an object in the image. Input the required details and click on Create Annotation.

4. You can create multiple annotations on the same image by repeating these steps or by clicking on the Create New button.

5. You can edit or delete any individual annotation using the EDIT and Delete options.

6. Click on the close option on top right to go back to the georeferenced image viewer.
